Never mind picture quality issues. One major reason people prefer TV is because there is more of a connection with the television. The possibility of live TV is a powerful draw. Because of 24-hr news and other live broadcasts, the TV is a companion and a connection with the outside world. The internet on the other hand is like a bunch of nice eggs which someone has laid for you to go and pickup. But the egg layer is not really there. At least thats how it seems now.
