From the National Park Service's War in the Pacific National Historical Park site, these are from a photo album called Japanese War Art.
There isn't much of an of explanation behind these paintings, and a cursory couple of searches on a few of the artists in the captions got me nowhere. It would have been nice to have found bigger, better versions of these. I'd really love to see the colors in more detail.
But I can't stop looking at them, especially these:
