Posts: 988 (05/22/02 11:13:18) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None what do you know about Neal Pollack? i was in the bookstore yesterday forever and found his "American Anthology" of his short stories, most of which were originally published in McSweeneys. i read "A Doctor Cannot Save Your Life" which was laugh out loud funny and bits and pieces of other ones. i'm trying to figure out if i want to buy his book.

However, it seems to me he has recently found his metier on his Web-site. The most amusing, recurring bits are when Pollack pretends to be Christopher Hitchens or Andrew Sullivan or some other obnxious pundit, but he's also had wicked parodies and/or attacks on Houllebecq and that James Frey dude, lately. So, I'm presently up on Neal Pollack, as long as I just consume his blog pieces, whenever I remember, and I love him inordinately for creating the pseudonym "Mandrew Mullivan" during his otherwise less-than-inspired take on the Stephen Glass thing.
