I caught the tail end of the longest Wimbledon match in history, and it was an upset of the five time champ. I cannot call myself a sports man, but I love a good match. This was amazing. Really.

I'm a little disappointed. i always assume youtube has the video i want to see, and it always does.. except for now. tonight i rediscovered my FAVORITE looney tunes character, Gossamer the big red monster, and i can't find the episode(s) with him anywhere. not on youtube, not anywhere. In TV's worst spring in recent memory, an alarming number of Americans drifted away from television the past two months: More than 2.5 million fewer people were watching ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox than at the same time last year, statistics show.

Never mind picture quality issues. One major reason people prefer TV is because there is more of a connection with the television. The possibility of live TV is a powerful draw. Because of 24-hr news and other live broadcasts, the TV is a companion and a connection with the outside world. The internet on the other hand is like a bunch of nice eggs which someone has laid for you to go and pickup. But the egg layer is not really there. At least thats how it seems now.

I don't know if it's me being an A-hole, or if it's just fun seeing these people suffer in their depression. I don't feel sorry for them. Everytime I see this commercial, I either say out loud or in my head, "Fucking get over it!!!" I couldn't be that way in real life; that's why I must take full advantage of expressing my true feelings in the privacy of my home. Maybe this is the norm...

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's a noticeable difference in Chuck Jones' work with Tom & Jerry, which is, I assume, some time after his Bugs days (?). But then, there are so many of the qualities he brought to T&J that he gave to LooneyTunes. Maybe I just prefer the Hanna/Barbera/Fred Quimby original renditions of T&J. Yeah, I've been studying these differences, and what? And maybe I'm hopped up on Risperdal. (I'm so damn proud of that!)
